Ceylon Chamber of Women Entrepreneurs (CCWE) is a national
consortium representing women’s chambers, grassroots networks, and community-based
organizations across all nine provinces of Sri Lanka. We are also the only chamber in Sri Lanka
with formal South Asian representation through the South Asian Women’s Development Forum
(SAWDF). Over the years, CCWE has actively supported women entrepreneurs and
marginalized communities by enabling access to skills development, market opportunities,
financial inclusion, and sustainable livelihoods.
Through partnerships with government agencies, private sector
actors, international organizations, and civil society, CCWE
leverages resources and opportunities to amplify women’s voices
and drive systemic change. Its nationwide reach positions it to lead
initiatives like a Fashion Week that celebrates Sri Lankan culture,
showcases sustainable textiles and innovative designs, and
connects participants with domestic and international buyers and investors. By combining
culture, commerce, and capacity-building, CCWE’s Fashion Week would advance women’s
economic empowerment, promote sustainable development, and foster international
collaboration in the creative economy.
